Once again you'll have to rely on my faulty memory, or look up the past temperatures.  There are no really warm spots of 30 C or more.  I haven't seen the oceans so cold. This isn't something that can happen overnight, as with sunspots, this is deep-seated and a regular cycle.  What I can't figure out is if the oceans are a heat energy storage system or they merely divert heat from north
