Design-Build Strikes Again

The Big Stupids love the 'all in one' package.

How is going to handle an earthquake?  Hospitals are supposed to be really well-constructed for this reason, but no effort goes into this.  The top people all get their positions from connections, so they should sue themselves.  ha ha.

I suspect the floors have even shifted, since somebody must have dumped marbles when they moved in.  Maybe they can just bring in a road grinder and resurface.  The problem with design-build is that the engineers make more money if they leave out a piece of steel.  The big buildings aren't controlled that much by codes, they go by analysis, and that is easy to fudge.  However, I'm stating that everybody is perfect, and it is all perfect, just for legal purposes.

All engineering is perfect, building is perfect, the sinking foundations are a feature, not a bug.

ps if things go according to history, then they will start hanging corporate art over the cracks.

ps this is really where they should install my 2-buck-accelerometers, if they existed.

ps I want to use the Artie video production to make my comedy series "The Tilted Hospital".  I have an MRI machine starting to roll downhill, and out the window.
