Back from the cottage, with slow internet. The cottage was nice with cooler, breezy nights. The water was cold, and I just did my famous '10 second' swim.
Quite a while ago, I predicted hot stagnant weather for the summer. This was due to having almost no energy in the oceans. That's what moderates our weather. Otherwise, we follow desert rules.
Now, in July, the Gulf Stream became frisky, and started spending energy like Americans. That is, it was draining the bank. Now, it is done.
You can see there are no ocean plumes, and even the plumes going up the Gulf Stream are done.
The active GS was draining the gulfmex, and it's bankrupt. During its heyday, it gave Scandyland a big heat wave, which has now moved on.
Greenland shows the flag of cold, and the blobs may still come.
This is a high-speed blob coming down, quite narrow, but we are counting on it for some rain.
