TURTLE SHELLS: HOME SWEET ARMOUR
Turtle shells are different from the body armour or armoured shells we see adorning dinosaurs like the ankylosaurs. Ankylosaurs were blessed with huge plates of bone embedded into their skin that acted as a natural shield against predators.
